Topo Berlin- Fruit Logistica 2010
A great success for MAF Roda Agrobotic despite snow, logistic problems: cancelled flights, delayed baggage, which are the characteristics of Berlin 2010. The MAF stall exhibited his success by a continuous and enthusiastic attendance of visitors, customers and partners. The MAF "know-how" reinforces its human and technical values. The main set of themes was "Focus on Sensors". Installed on our sizer Pomone Universal 2 lanes (1 lane for citrus fruits, 1 lane for apple) 6 computers are connected with our new electronics: Firmness, Lemonscan, Globalscan, Viotec, Insight NIR Plus.
Our developer engineers from France, Spain, Australia, and United States livened things up on stall. They demonstrated the capacity of MAF to be still looking for and finding the latest and more innovative solutions in order to comply with fruits "Quality sorting" criteria, while remaining accessible to customer and respecting the specificities of different international markets. The "Firmness" sorting: With contacts thanks to delicate sensors, we can meter the fruit firmness and determine its destination for a local or faraway market, and of course we can move apart the products unfit for consumption.
The Insight NIR Plus: Its function is to meter Brix (sugar rate in fruits) and to detect internal defects. For example, after certain storage time a fruit can appear healthy outside but it can present defects and brown marks when cutting up. Its system of "Full Transmission" (light which crosses the fruit right through) allows a total visibility from fruit inside, unlike others systems on the market that only detect half or a quarter. The Globalscan, Lemonscan and Viotec treat the external quality.
- Our supplier MATROX speak about MAF Globalscan electronic for quality sorting.
MAF Roda Agrobotic: Technological innovations and Conviviality

Viotec for citrus fruits keeps up all advances of Globalscan but now with UV (Ultra-violet LED) which allow to detect starts of rotting (often caused by insect bites) invisible to the naked eye and which can quickly damage complete fruit batches and generate big losses for producers.
In nonstop demonstration on stall, we decided to show the "Cherryway" dedicated to the sizing of small products: cherries, cherry tomato, walnut, lychees etc....The Speed Packer V6, conditioner in multilayer boxes for citrus fruits, had a lot of success. With many flashes, visitors couldn’t remain indifferent to its efficiency and capacities. Two other small machines, very easy to use and already plagiarized by other manufacturers (even if MAF remains the instigator) were presented: the Speed Bagger , filler/counter of bags, and the Speed Counter which counts and detects the exact fruit number for a delicate filling of boxes.
The Group invests 3% of its turnover in Research and Development. 18 subsidiary companies and about 40 technical and commercial partners across the world.
A great Thank to all our visitors for their interest during these 3 days of Fair.
