IMG Citrus is a family-owned, vertically-integrated citrus grower, packer, and shipper in Vero Beach, Florida, USA. IMG Citrus business began in 1979, and now acts as one of the largest growers and suppliers of Florida red and white grapefruit, producing approximately 50% of all white grapefruit in Florida.
IMG Citrus chose the MAF GLOBALSCAN 7 quality sorting system because of previous experience with the GLOBALSCAN 5 from an operational standpoint, as well as the relationship built with MAF RODA Industries over the past years. The increased precision of fruit grading is critical to IMG Citrus’ ability to fully understand crop characteristics in order to enhance decision making and crop management. The MAF GLOBALSCAN 7 increases efficiency and reduces costs because of its ability to analyze images of our fruit against specific criteria and conclude with 99% accuracy.
